Just mention the word ‘GOLF’ and watch the heads turn!  The love affair with golf and all things associated is growing at a rapid rate.  Not to be left behind, we are always looking for new ways to tempt our golfing clients.

Traditionally, water and golf have been a dangerous combination.  Any golfer who has watched a shot make an unplanned plunge knows all about the frustrating mix of little white balls and water.  However, golf and cruise ships are turning out to be a terrific twosome.  Golfers get to experience an on-board country club lifestyle while playing some of the best golf courses around the world.

For golfers who haven’t been on a cruise in a while, the most notable changes are in the new on-board golf facilities including lessons from a pro, using the ‘VI’ teaching technology, golf clinics, and even putting and long drive contests.  Equipment rental includes the latest and greatest woods, irons, balls and even Nike shoes.

On the golf course side, the on-board golf pro knows the scheduled courses intimately and he will keep you advised of what kind of shape the greens are in or what courses have just been aerated, so he can pick the best places available.  Golfers will receive priority disembarkation and priority tee times, so if there is a delay, you get right onto the course.

Imagine being transported from the ship to play on the Teeth of the Dog, or the Dye Fore course at Casa de Campo, in the Dominican Republic. Or how about a cruise on the Highland Clipper, a refurbished 122 passenger ship which features 5 days of golf at some of the Old World’s top courses, including Royal Liverpool, Royal Portrush and the Aisla course at the Westin Turnberry Resort on the west coast of Scotland.

Many Resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico offer the all-inclusive concept with golf included and this makes for a very reasonable golf holiday.  Florida and California are known to have some of the best golf courses in the world and we know where they are.  Pick a spot in North American and we’ll find you a golf course.  Need a tee-off time at Pebble Beach?  No problem!
