Day 1 - October 30
Arrive in Nairobi transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 - October 31
Today after a leisurely breakfast we will explore the suburbs of Nairobi with a visit to the elephant orphanage, the giraffe center, a stop for a light lunch,
and then a visit to the bead factory.
Return to your hotel to relax for the rest of the afternoon. Overnight Serena Hotel. B L D
Day 3 - November 1
Depart at 0800 after an early breakfast we will drive to the famous Masai Mara National Park. Masai Mara was in 2007 declared the 7th wonder of the world for hosting the most spectacular wildlife show on earth; the annual migration of wildebeests. The reserve is an integral component of the greater Serengeti ecosystem whose diversity of game supports the highest concentration of herbivores in the world. Masai Mara owes its high numbers of wildlife to the coexistence and stewardship of the Masai peoples that form a relationship for the people and wildlife to live in peace together. The Mara is the home of the "Big Five", lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros. Bird life is rich and profuse.
Enjoy two game drives per day. Enjoy lunch at the Mara Sarova.

Day 4 - November 2

Day 5 - November 3
After breakfast we are still in the Masai Mara and will drive to the Karen Blixen Camp.
The location of Karen Blixen Camp allows guests to experience wildlife from a prime position.
Masai guides at the camp will take you for a walk in the bush garden explaining about trees, shrubs, birds and the little insects inhabiting the area. The open plan mess area, built on a raised mahogany deck, is beautifully located on the banks of the Mara River overlooking a resident hippo pod providing guests with endless entertainment.

Day 6 - November 4
One more day to enjoy two game drives and your wonderful surroundings. The camp comprises of 22 large tents set on large mahogany platforms – each with a spacious veranda complete with a cushion daybed from which one can enjoy an afternoon siesta or simply relax around the swimming pool. Each tent is en-suite and has a bathroom with flush toilet, twin wash hand basins and an outside shower which looks to the sky. The water is heated up by gas burners to avoid any use of firewood and thus conserving the Mara Woodlands. Electricity is provided in all tents 24 hours by extended solar panel system and battery storing bank.

Day 7 - November 5
Breakfast and then depart at 0730 hours and drive to the Isebania border town, Tanzania arriving at around 1100 hours. After border formalities, you will meet with our Driver/Guide and proceed to Serengeti, stopping for a picnic lunch enroute. Experience the thrill of an afternoon game drive before check in.

The Serengeti National Park. The name Serengeti derives from a Masai word Serengit meaning endless plain. It is Africa's most famous game reserve, renowned for its dense predator population and annual wildebeest migration. You also see zebra, large herds of giraffe, Thompsons and Grants gazelles, elands, impalas, klipspringers, warthogs and fascinating birdlife, including vultures brooding in the trees. Experience beautiful vistas, sun rises and sun sets and abundance of game as we travel across rocky hills, woodlands and savannahs to our accommodation. The Serengeti can be rewarding to visit at any time of the year.
Kirawira Camp – Western Serengeti close to the Grumeti River, famed for its giant crocodiles, is perched on a hill with uninterrupted views of the plains of the Western Serengeti. Kirawira Camp offers its guests a luxurious tented African Safari. Kirawira is a reincarnation of a Victorian tented camp and guests enjoy luxurious accommodation, a valet service, superb house cuisine, fine wines and the best of East African hospitality throughout the camp. Day 8 - November 6
After a leisurely breakfast we will drive to Kempinski Bilila Lodge.
This magnificent Lodge offers guests an incredible nature spectacle. Every day, the sweeping sky and dazzling wilderness of the Serengeti appear in a new light. Whether guests are in the main restaurant, at the pool or in the lounge – there is always something be enjoyed and marvelled at. Sophistication, furnishings at the Bilila Lodge are a modern interpretation of traditional African style. The most popular place to meet is the long bar with its impressive choice of drinks. Even from their bathtubs, guests can observe the elephants down at the pond.

Day 9 - November 7
March Enjoy two game drives and "The magic of the Serengeti" sunsets, sunrise, wildlife, birds, scenery.

*Optional Balloon Safari can be booked at the hotel. Enjoy a wondrous balloon flight and champagne breakfast prepared for you when you come down set out under an acacia tree in the Serengeti, weather permitting.
Day 10 - November 8
After an early breakfast depart for the Ngorongoro crater with game drive en route and a picnic lunch. After lunch proceed to Ngorongoro National Park.
Visit a Masai village and school en route.

Day 11 - November 9
After breakfast we will take an early morning drive into the Ngorongoro Crater. Bring a jacket along as it can get quite chilly. Time to take in the ethereal blue-green vistas. Close range viewing opportunities offer an unparalleled concentration of wildlife. It has been estimated that there are more than 400 adult and sub adult spotted hyenas present in the crater. A visit to the hippo pool will thrill and delight you as you are guaranteed good views of these large mammals at close quarters, as well as the small creatures that feed around the pool fringes and the birds that come to drink. The crater enclosed in grasslands, forests, wetlands and slopes, provide habitats for a host of creatures, large and small. Herds of buffalo, blue wildebeest, plains zebra and gazelles can be seen on the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is a microcosm of East Africa. The visitor to the crater is almost guaranteed sightings of lions as so many occur and they often lie out in the open. Kongoni and topi are also present on the open plains. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area enthralls ornithologist and amateur bird watchers alike.
Today we will enjoy a picnic lunch in the Crater and then we will drive to Tloma Lodge in the Ngorongoro – Karatu area. An exclusively petite 20 cottage lodge situated within the Ngorongoro Highlands Area. Its brilliant location on the raised shoulder of a valley offers breathtaking views over a coffee plantation and onto the Eastern wall of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. 24 rooms with en suite facilities.

Day 12 - November 10
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a game drive and leave after lunch and drive into Arusha.
We will have a city tour and then check in at the Arusha Coffee Lodge.
Arusha Coffee Lodge lies in a tranquil coffee plantation, just outside of Arusha, close to the Arusha airport making it an ideal stay for the end of a perfect Safari. The small lodge has among the best rooms in Arusha, with private atmosphere, personalized service and perfect and most luxurious interiors, reminding one of days gone by. B L D

Enjoy a relaxing morning in the swimming pool, or some last minute shopping and then repack for your flight home. B L D
